Message	since I installed the '98. This author's opinion on the invalid claims of GL5 manufacturers specifying the formulation covers GL4 recommendations, was confirmed by finding brass in the oil. I wonder how long the "test" went for. I still think this is not the greatest transmission, but is better than the one on my 1960 MGA. One could argue it is 20 years old; but its guts don't seem that different from a BW T5 or Tremec T56. The trans on my 2016 BMW is the smoothest so far I have encountered.
